Blue Moon Metals Secures 33 Tungsten and Antimony Projects in Western US
Blue Moon Metals has agreed to acquire a 100% interest in 33 tungsten and antimony projects across the western United States, expanding its domestic critical minerals portfolio.
Consideration totals 2.8 million common shares valued at approximately US$15.5 million at US$5.55 per share, subject to a four-month holding period. Blue Moon will also pay US$5.0 million in cash—split into US$2.5 million on closing and US$2.5 million on the first anniversary—alongside a 1.0% net smelter returns royalty on each project, holding costs of about US$162,000 annually, and capped inferred resource development and monetization milestone payments.
The binding agreement was signed on August 10, 2026. The transaction is subject to TSX Venture Exchange approval and is expected to close in October 2026, with no finder's fees payable.
The properties complement Blue Moon’s Springer tungsten complex in Nevada and Apex germanium-gallium-copper mine in Utah. Four assets are prioritized for direct shipping high-grade tungsten ores to Springer: the Oregon Mine in Colorado, Wildhorse Canyon in Idaho, Williams in Arizona, and Hub Mines in Nevada.
Blue Moon anticipates advancing key projects to the drilling stage over two years and sees potential to commence direct shipping ore from one or more sites within three years. At least five projects historically operated as high-grade direct-shipping sites with 2% to 10% antimony in veins, which Blue Moon may sell to third parties or process at a small-scale smelter at Springer.
“This acquisition marks a meaningful step in Blue Moon's strategy to build a leading US-focused critical metals platform. The portfolio represents a compelling collection of tungsten and antimony projects in the United States at a time when domestic sources are increasingly important.
