Blue Star Gold Corp. has returned initial drill results from the Phase 2 exploration program at the Nutaaq target within the Ulu Gold Project in Nunavut, Canada, highlighted by an intercept of 8.0 metres grading 2.56 grams per tonne gold from 74.0 metres downhole, including a 1.5-metre interval of 7.41 g/t gold.

All five initial drill holes completed along the northern portion of the 1,600-metre-long Nutaaq trend intersected the targeted structures carrying varying amounts of gold mineralization within wider alteration zones.

Drill hole 26UND003, designed as a 70-metre step-out test along structure B, also returned 1.2 metres of 8.66 g/t gold from 49.8 metres downhole, which included a 0.6-metre interval of 11.55 g/t gold. Hole 26UND004, positioned 50 metres further west along the same structural trend, intersected a 3.4-metre interval of 2.70 g/t gold from 36.3 metres within a 3.8-metre alteration zone.

The Ulu Gold Project hosts a Measured and Indicated Mineral Resource of 2.204 million tonnes at an average grade of 7.87 g/t gold for 558,000 ounces, alongside an Inferred Mineral Resource of 3.263 million tonnes at 4.54 g/t gold for 476,000 ounces. The project’s Flood Zone deposit sits less than one kilometre from the Nutaaq Zone, where Blue Star previously completed surface stripping and channel sampling programs.

"Continued systematic evaluation of the structures along the Nutaaq trend consistently presents the exploration team with additional targets to build on the Nutaaq (Gnu) Zone mineral resource," said Grant Ewing, CEO of Blue Star. "The wide spaced drilling indicating structural continuity suggests that there is potential to build additional resource ounces in the northern portion of the 1.6-kilometre-long trend. Follow-up drilling is expected to prove grade continuity."

Blue Star plans to carry out follow-up and infill drilling across the Nutaaq trend to define higher-grade zones and test grade continuity within the large hydrothermal system, with the proposed work aimed at impacting the current resource inventory. All reported intervals represent downhole lengths as there has been insufficient drilling to determine true thicknesses.
