Bonterra Hits 4.75 g/t Gold Over 1.4 Metres at Desmaraisville South
Bonterra Resources Inc. has reported preliminary assay results from its 2026 exploration campaign at the 100%-owned Desmaraisville South Project in Quebec, highlighted by an intercept of 4.75 g/t gold over 1.4 metres, including 16.03 g/t gold over 0.4 metres with visible gold in drill hole BRDS-26-114.
The 2026 program comprised 23 diamond drill holes totalling 10,136 metres, which included five abandoned holes totalling 125 metres. Bonterra has received assay results for 14 holes, while five holes are undergoing core cutting and nine holes have partial or pending results.
Drilling at the O'Brien East Deep target intersected mineralised zones with quartz-fluorite veinlets and hematisation hosted within the O'Brien intrusive. Additional results from the campaign include hole BRDS-26-128A at the Céré-Murgor target, which returned 0.79 g/t gold over 8.2 metres—including 1.33 g/t gold over 2.7 metres and 4.05 g/t gold over 0.6 metres with visible gold—alongside a separate interval of 1.99 g/t gold over 0.7 metres. At the Mistik 13 target, hole BRDS-26-116A intersected 1.03 g/t gold over 1.5 metres in basalt cut by quartz-carbonate veinlets. Reported intervals represent drilled core lengths, and true widths are not yet known.

Bonterra is advancing the project toward a mining restart by leveraging its existing permitted infrastructure. Alongside drilling, the company completed relogging and sampling on 70 historic drill holes, received a structural and metallogenic study from Laurentia Exploration, generated a 3D gravity inversion model via Sander Geophysics, and scanned 19,834 metres of drill core using LithologIQ hyperspectral technology.
"Our 2026 drilling campaign at the 100%-owned Desmaraisville South Project has identified two exciting areas with strong potential for gold mineralization. These include a new target east of the O'Brien intrusive body, and an east-west corridor where drilling encountered strong alteration, abundant pyrite and visible gold. Importantly, we still have a significant amount of assay results pending, and data from our geophysical survey and structural mapping work. Bringing all of this information will provide an improved understanding of the mineralization controls, better refine our drill targets and guide the next phase of exploration at Desmaraisville South."
— Cesar Gonzalez, Executive Chairman and Interim CEO
The integration of upcoming assay results with geophysical and structural data is expected to refine drill targets for subsequent exploration phases across the property.
