Boreal Gold Inc. has begun a 1,000-metre drill program on its Fay Lake Property in Manitoba, targeting the Redwin volcanic massive sulphide horizon and associated high-grade gold quartz veins.

The Fay Lake Property comprises 17 contiguous claims covering 2,719 hectares located approximately 55 kilometres east-northeast of Flin Flon. The property is contiguous with Hudbay Minerals' Vamp Lake copper-zinc deposit to the southeast and Minnova's Puffy Lake Gold Mine to the northeast.

The current drilling campaign focuses on testing the Redwin deposit, where historical shipping material from the early 1930s yielded up to 15 grams per tonne of gold, alongside trench targets on an island in the eastern area of Koscielny Lake. Recent surface sampling at Koscielny Lake returned gold values reaching 9.7 grams per tonne and 5.7 grams per tonne. Boreal has also prepared a drill pad at Koscielny Lake and collected an additional 13 samples from a separate showing at trench seven, with assay results currently pending at SRC Laboratories in Saskatoon.

Core samples from the program are sawn with half retained in boxes for reference and the other half shipped to SRC Laboratories using standardized chain-of-custody and quality control protocols that include the insertion of certified blanks and standards. Stephen L. Masson acts as the qualified person overseeing the program.
