Brasnova Advances Capela Gold Project With 110-Sample Multi-Media Program in Bahia, Brazil
Brasnova Energy Materials Inc. has submitted five analytical batches totaling 110 samples to SGS Geosol as part of an expanded exploration program at the Capela Gold Project in Pintadas, Bahia, Brazil.
The current sampling initiative builds on encouraging rock chip results announced on July 14, 2026, which included a peak assay of 4.13 g/t Au and 22 of 23 samples returning gold values of 0.241 g/t Au or greater. The ongoing program comprises 52 rock samples, 14 active stream sediment samples, and 44 soil samples designed to evaluate the broader mineralized system.
Detailed geological mapping across the asset has documented potassic alteration, silicification, stockwork quartz veinlets, sulphidation, and gossan development within structurally prepared metagranodioritic host rocks emplaced along a ductile-brittle shear zone. Continued mapping north and southwest of the original target area has identified additional quartz-vein occurrences exhibiting hematite, oxidation, and boxwork-like textures. At prospect MJ-144, located southwest of the main target, copper sulphide visually interpreted in the field as bornite was observed within oxidized quartz-vein material.
To test the lateral extent of the mineralized host rocks and trace geochemical responses in areas with limited bedrock exposure, Brasnova has established a systematic soil-sampling grid across the metagranodiorite occurrences. Sampling lines are spaced 100 metres apart with sample stations set at 25-metre intervals.
In March 2026, the company engaged senior geologist Carlos Henrique Lourenço Bastos to supervise work programs and prepare an independent NI 43-101 technical report for the Capela Gold Project. Assay results from the five newly submitted sample batches are currently pending receipt and QA/QC review.
