Brazilian Critical Minerals secures $10 million for Ema Project development
Brazilian Critical Minerals Limited (BCM) has successfully raised approximately A$10 million through an institutional placement. The capital, priced at A$0.053 per share, will be deployed to accelerate pre-development activities at the Ema Rare Earths Project in Brazil. With this injection, the company expects to reach a pro forma cash balance of roughly A$14 million, providing a runway for essential technical and regulatory workstreams as it moves toward a final investment decision.
The proceeds are earmarked for specific advancement tasks, including front-end engineering and design (FEED), the commencement of production well drilling for the project’s first field, and the procurement of early-stage equipment. The capital raise follows the recent release of the Bankable Feasibility Study for the site, which the company maintains is a central element of its strategy.
"The strong demand received from high-quality institutional investors for this Placement is a clear endorsement of the quality of the Ema Project, which the BFS confirmed as the lowest capital cost rare earth project in the western world with the potential to emerge as an important source of Western world rare earths supply." — Andrew Reid, Managing Director
The placement is structured into two tranches. The first, raising approximately A$7.4 million, is unconditional and slated for settlement on 13 July 2026. The second tranche, involving A$2.7 million, remains subject to shareholder approval at an Extraordinary General Meeting, which is scheduled for mid-August 2026. The company has consolidated its broader portfolio focus entirely onto the Ema project to ensure these development goals remain the priority.
