Broken Hill Mines Reports Record Quarterly Throughput
Broken Hill Mines Limited (BHM) has reported its strongest operational performance since acquiring the Rasp project, achieving record quarterly ore throughput. During the June quarter, the company processed 119,320 tonnes of ore, marking a steady increase in output as it ramps up activity across its various supply sources.
The production growth is supported by a strategic multi-source ore feed approach, which integrates material from the Main Lode and the recently restarted Pinnacles mine. This flexibility allows the company to optimize both the grade and volume of ore sent to the processing facility. As the feed quality improves, the company continues to focus on maximizing the latent capacity of the 750,000 tonnes per annum plant. To facilitate this goal, management has prioritized essential infrastructure improvements to remove existing bottlenecks in the processing circuit.

Operations at the Pinnacles mine, which resumed in late June, are currently centered on the Edwards Open Pit. This site provides a vital high-grade ore feed, and BHM is now working to progressively expand the pit into adjacent zones. The company is also evaluating the potential for future underground development at the site to supplement the surface operations.

Looking ahead, BHM is scheduled to release comprehensive production and financial data for the June quarter in late July. Additionally, the company plans to provide an updated Mineral Resource Estimate for the Pinnacles project toward the end of 2026, incorporating results from recent drilling programs.
