Bronco Resources Hits 17.6 g/t Gold in Photon Assay Review at Placer Mountain
Bronco Resources Corp. has adopted Chrysos Photon Assay technology for its 2026 rock assays at the Placer Mountain Gold Project in British Columbia’s Similkameen Mining District, following an evaluation showing significantly higher gold recoveries in coarse-gold intervals.
The company holds the Placer Mountain project through an 88%/12% joint venture with Universal Copper Ltd., respectively. To improve analytical accuracy for coarse and nuggety gold, Bronco evaluated historical fire assays against 500-gram Photon Assay analyses on mineralized drill core from the Kodiak Zone. In drill hole KZ21-05, conventional fire assay returned 1.8 g/t gold, whereas the 500g Photon Assay analysis returned 17.6 g/t gold, representing 978% of the original fire assay value. Additional high-grade comparisons included drill hole KZ21-06, which yielded 3.8 g/t gold compared to 0.7 g/t originally, and KZ24-03, which returned 21.1 g/t gold compared to 7.8 g/t.
“The Photon Assay evaluation has provided valuable insight into the behavior of gold within the Kodiak Zone system. The presence of significant positive determinations in several high-grade samples validates our assay method comparison exercise, and further suggests that coarse gold may contribute significantly to the grade variability within portions of the deposit.”

Building on these technical updates, Bronco has commenced an approximately 450 line-kilometer Phase 2 ground magnetic survey across the project. The program utilizes 25-metre line spacing over the Kodiak Zone and 50-metre line spacing across the broader grid, designed to integrate seamlessly with existing Main Zone magnetic imagery into a single interpretation.
The ongoing fieldwork follows an extensive exploration campaign that included a 2,500-hectare airborne LiDAR survey, a 1,012-sample soil geochemical program across the Eastern Palace and Grizzle priority targets, and 18 prospecting rock samples from new outcrop exposures at Grizzle. Laboratory analyses for the soil and prospecting samples are currently pending, with results anticipated in the coming weeks.
Additionally, the Province of British Columbia has officially granted Bronco's Young Willis mineral claim application. The new 1,856-hectare claim expands the property's land position along the prospective quartz corridor northeast of the Kodiak Zone.
Bronco holds a multi-year area-based permit for Placer Mountain and expects to execute additional diamond drilling at the project in the fourth quarter of 2026.
