BRS Resources Ships 1,293 Meters of Drill Core from Cowtrail and Launches Silvergold Mountain Work
BRS Resources Ltd. has completed cutting, sampling and shipping 1,293 meters of drill core from four completed holes at the Cowtrail copper-gold project in British Columbia.
The processed samples have been dispatched to the facilities of MSA Labs in Langley, British Columbia. Assay results from the program are expected to return within four to six weeks from August 25, 2026. Cowtrail is a 4,717-hectare project situated contiguous with Vizsla Copper Corp.'s Woodjam and Redgold projects and 20 kilometers southeast of Imperial Metals Corporation's operating Mount Polley Mine.
Under the terms of its option agreement with Cariboo Rose Resources Ltd., BRS may earn a 60% interest in Cowtrail by completing $2,000,000 in exploration expenditures, making $200,000 in cash payments, and issuing $200,000 in equivalent shares by December 19, 2028. Under an amended agreement, upcoming obligations require the company to complete $450,000 in exploration expenditures, make a $30,000 cash payment, and issue $30,000 in shares by December 19, 2026.
Beyond its Canadian operations, BRS has commenced exploration at the Silvergold Mountain project in Sonora, Mexico. The project is located approximately 200 kilometers east of Hermosillo within the Mulatos Epithermal Corridor, which hosts the Mulatos Mine operated by Alamos Gold Inc. and the La India Mine operated by Agnico Eagle Mines Limited. BRS secured an option to acquire a 75% interest in the 1,053-hectare property through a definitive agreement covering the regional mining concessions.
Activity across the wider Cariboo region has also seen active development. Nearby, Spanish Mountain Gold Ltd. reported drill results from its Spanish Mountain project intersecting 252.3 meters grading 0.82 g/t gold, including 93.5 meters of 1.32 g/t gold as part of its feasibility study drill program.
To fund its ongoing operations and support these strategic exploration initiatives, BRS strengthened its financial position earlier in the year. The company reported a balance sheet exceeding $10 million in March 2026 following the sale of shares held in AleAnna, Inc., preserving liquidity while maintaining an ownership stake in the asset.
