Kinross Intersects Gold and Copper in Dixie Halo Drilling

Kinross Gold Corporation has intersected gold mineralization ranging up to 6 g/t Au in all eight completed holes of its Phase 1 drilling program at the Dixie Halo project in Red Lake, Ontario, which is optioned from BTU Metals Corp.
The 4,528.5-metre program focused on the eastern portion of the property known as the TNT area, immediately adjacent to Kinross's Great Bear gold project. In addition to gold, the drilling encountered copper and silver mineralization. Hole BTU-26-15 intersected a 24.55-metre interval grading 0.626% copper and 12.61 g/t silver, including higher-grade highlights such as 8.41% copper and 116 g/t silver over 0.4 metres and 3.9% copper and 71.8 g/t silver.
Kinross holds an option agreement to earn a 70% interest in the Dixie Halo project by completing exploration work. The major partner has indicated it will recommence drilling operations later in the year to complete Phase 2 of the 2026 program once equipment and technical personnel become available, with targets to be finalised as remaining assay data arrives.
We're pleased to see Kinross continue to find gold mineralization in their drilling as they continue to evaluate the TNT area of the Dixie Halo project. Additionally, the intersections of copper mineralization of several types is encouraging and requires additional drill testing to search for additional areas of disseminated to massive and stringer chalcopyrite.

Separately, BTU Metals Corp. has sourced a drill contractor for an approximately 1,200-metre program across its consolidated Hubcap and Centennial areas in Wawa, Ontario. BTU expects to mobilize and commence drilling operations in September 2026.
