Bunker Hill Mining Corp. has completed its first production stope blast at the Bunker Hill Mine in northern Idaho’s Silver Valley, marking its operational transition from underground redevelopment toward sustained mine production.

The initial stope blast follows extensive underground rehabilitation and infrastructure preparation designed to support an 1,800 ton-per-day operation. Bunker Hill is using transverse longhole stoping in a primary-secondary configuration. Excavated stopes will be backfilled with a mixture of mill tails from the newly commissioned tails filter press and cement. The paste is pumped underground to provide geotechnical stability, allowing the safe extraction of secondary stopes while eliminating the need for a surface tails facility.

Alongside the stope milestone, Bunker Hill reported four consecutive years without a lost-time incident and one full year without a recordable safety incident. The company previously reported 40 months without a lost-time injury in March 2026.

Bunker Hill holds a 100% interest in the flagship asset. With underground production activities advancing and the processing facility operational, the company remains on track to achieve commercial production by the end of 2026.
