Burley Minerals Completes Maiden Drilling at Cane Bore North and Step-Out Targets
Burley Minerals has completed its maiden reverse circulation drilling programme at the Cane Bore Iron Ore Project in Western Australia, advancing 59 holes for 1,009 metres across the North and Step-Out targets.
The North and Step-Out targets span more than 290 hectares across a strike length exceeding five kilometres, comparing with the earlier South Target which covered over 80 hectares across a 2.3-kilometre strike.
“The North and Step-Out Targets are a contiguous ridge of Channel Iron Deposit, nearly three million square metres in area, over five kilometres of strike, and rising to more than twenty metres high and has potential to define a large CID tonnage.”
— Stewart McCallion, Managing Director and CEO
Samples from the programme have been delivered to a Perth laboratory, with assay results anticipated by late September 2026. Drilling was funded through a $1.0 million capital raise completed in mid-2026, comprising a $0.7 million placement and a $313,910 share purchase plan.
“The Cane Bore Channel Iron Deposit is less than thirty kilometres to the intersection of the sealed Onslow Road and the Northwest Coastal Highway, and from there it is about ninety kilometres to the Port of Ashburton near Onslow, an advantage in terms of capital and operating costs.”

Planning is underway for an approved diamond drilling programme focused on metallurgical and geotechnical assessments.
