Burley Minerals has mobilised a reverse circulation drill rig and commenced a maiden drilling programme at the North and Step-Out targets within the Cane Bore Iron Ore Project in Western Australia’s Pilbara province.

The field work follows the receipt of final heritage survey reports confirming clearance for approved drilling lines across most of the North Target and all of the Step-Out Target. The combined North and Step-Out targets cover more than 290 hectares across a strike length exceeding five kilometres, with the current campaign comprising approximately 120 reverse circulation drill holes.

Impact Drilling Services is expected to complete the drilling within approximately one week. Samples will subsequently be delivered to a laboratory in Perth, with assay results anticipated by late September 2026.

Nearby iron ore producer Mineral Resources Limited reported that its Ashburton Hub near Onslow shipped a record 9.6 million wet metric tonnes during the June 2026 quarter.
