Buxton Resources has completed its maiden diamond drilling program at the 100%-owned Madman copper-gold project in the Paterson Orogen of Western Australia, returning multiple intersections of a sulphide-bearing hydrothermal system.

The program comprised two diamond drill holes, MD002DD and MD003DD, for a combined 1,367.05 metres, alongside water bore MD001WB. Separated by approximately 200 metres, both holes intersected quartz-carbonate stockwork veining and intense brecciation with associated sulphide mineralisation, developed from just above the base of the Skates Hills Formation and into the cored basement sequence. Magnetite-bearing gneissic basement intersected at the base of both holes accounts for the targeted ~200 nT, ~1 km² magnetic anomaly.

Downhole electromagnetic surveying of MD002DD identified a discrete off-hole conductor located approximately 350 metres north of the hole, with modelled conductance ranging from 200 to 1,000 Siemens and areal sizes between 500 by 500 metres and 1,000 by 1,000 metres. The conductor remains untested outside the drilled sections.

We expect assay results for these holes by the end of September, with partial gold assays available earlier. Downhole electromagnetics on MD002DD have identified an off-hole conductor, and we will survey MD003DD by the same method shortly. In parallel, we are working on plans to return and conduct broader EM and gravity survey and to drill test these conductors as soon as rig availability and heritage clearances allow.”

Gold-only assays for the lower portion of MD002DD below the Skates Hills Formation conglomerate are expected by mid-August 2026, while full multi-element assay results for the basement sections of both holes are anticipated by the end of September 2026.

Buxton previously advanced the project through heritage clearance surveys in mid-2025 and secured an Exploration Incentive Scheme grant of up to A$180,000 to support the maiden drill program. Planning for a follow-up drill program to test the off-hole conductor target is underway, pending rig availability and heritage clearance requirements under the company's Land Access Agreement with Native Title Holders. Heritage work program notices have been submitted for expanded drilling areas alongside ground electromagnetic and gravity surveys.
