Canadian Goldfields Discovery Corp. has commenced its 2026 fall exploration program at the Miminiska Gold Project in northwestern Ontario, advancing the property following its acquisition from Storm Exploration Inc. in February 2026.

The program includes an extensive soil geochemical survey covering approximately 7.5 kilometres with about 1,500 samples, an airborne magnetic survey across the 6,366-hectare property, and preparations for a winterized exploration camp. The field work aims to evaluate prospective ground between the Miminiska and Frond Zones, which bookend an interpreted iron-formation trend extending more than 14 kilometres. Approximately 12 kilometres of this strike remain largely untested by previous drilling.

The company closed its acquisition of the project earlier this year alongside a private placement financing increased to $7,575,000 to fund initial property payments and field programs. Operations on site continue in partnership with Eabametoong First Nation, with leadership expressing support for ongoing geophysical work, soil sampling, and camp construction.

Field crews are utilizing the data to generate drill targets ahead of an anticipated winter diamond drill program. Alongside the operational work, the company and Eabametoong First Nation are planning a community visit this fall to report back to membership regarding the current phase of work.
