Canary Gold Recovers Visible Gold Grains in 29 of 30 RC Samples at Madeira River

Independent specialist laboratory Overburden Drilling Management Limited has identified visible gold grains in laboratory-prepared gravity concentrates from 29 of 30 consecutive one-metre reverse-circulation samples collected from hole RC-0032 at the Jaci Paraná target within Madeira River Project in Rondônia, Brazil.

Canary Gold Corp. reported that the testing recovered a total of 190 visible gold grains. Of those, 156 grains, or 82.1%, are reshaped, reflecting transport and alluvial reworking within an auriferous sedimentary system. While 166 grains measure 100 micrometres or less, five coarse grains larger than 150 micrometres account for approximately 44.1% of the calculated visible-gold mass, introducing a pronounced coarse-particle tail and material nugget-effect risk.

The company noted that these values are semi-quantitative calculations based on heavy-mineral concentrates rather than sample head grades, metallurgical recovery results or mineral resources.

“The significance of the ODM results is the repeated recovery of visible gold grains through the submitted interval in RC-0032, rather than any single calculated concentrate value,” said Mark Tommasi, President of Canary Gold. “Our next phase is designed to generate representative and auditable volumetric data. We plan to test complete submitted RC sample material, quantify gravity recovery and losses and then evaluate focused sonic sampling.”

Canary holds an option to earn up to a 70% undivided interest in the Madeira River Project through staged exploration expenditures and milestone payments. Cumulative 2026 exploration drilling and auger programs across the project total approximately 5,050 metres, comprising 45 reverse-circulation holes spanning 2,851 metres, 14 dry diamond drilling holes covering 902 metres, and 63 screw auger holes reaching 1,297 metres.

To advance technical evaluation, Canary is planning an intermediate quantitative test program comprising approximately 40 selected one-metre reverse-circulation samples, each weighing about 25 kilograms. That work will include controlled gravity concentration, analysis of the gravity product and tails, and mass-balance, volume and density controls, with results expected approximately three to four weeks following laboratory receipt. Canary also received an indication of potential sonic-drill availability in September 2026 and is evaluating requirements for focused sonic sampling to assess representative recovered volumetric gold grades.
