AuRORA Minerals Ltd. has identified major new sulphide mineralized systems across the Brenda gold-copper property in British Columbia’s Toodoggone Region, through ongoing Induced Polarization ground geophysical surveys at the JOY Copper-Gold District.

The joint venture company, owned 60% by Freeport-McMoRan Mineral Properties Canada Inc. and 40% by Amarc Resources Ltd., is conducting the work as part of a $20 million exploration program funded by Freeport-McMoRan. Amarc acts as the primary contractor managing the programs under a separate services agreement. On July 21, 2026, Amarc announced a $5 million increase in its exploration budget for the JOY District, bringing the total 2026 program to $20 million.

Recent geophysical results have expanded several key target areas that extend directly into Canasil Resources Inc.’s Brenda property. The NWG sulphide system, which hosts the AuRORA deposit, has been expanded from its previously reported 4.5 square kilometres to cover 7 square kilometres, with the eastward extension crossing into the Brenda property.

In addition, the surveys discovered a new 4.5-square-kilometre sulphide system named the ROE Target within the property, adjacent to the east of the expanded NWG system. The White Pass sulphide system, which hosts the historical Brenda deposit, has also been enlarged from its previous footprint of 3.0 square kilometres to 5.0 square kilometres.

“These very encouraging geophysical results announced by Amarc highlight the potential of the Brenda Property for hosting a significant gold-copper mineralized system, which we have always believed. We congratulate the Freeport-Amarc JV on their systematic exploration program and these positive results, identifying a 12 km long east-northeast oriented cluster of porphyry gold-copper systems referred to as the AuRORA trend, stretching from the NWG sulphide system hosting the AuRORA gold-copper deposit to the west through to the NUB target area to the east, with the eastern extension of the NWG system, the ROE, and White Pass mineralized systems located on the Brenda Property in between. These systems constitute part of an extensive copper-gold mineralized system and remain open to expansion, located at the heart of the Toodoggone Region of British Columbia”

Under a five-year mineral property option agreement, Amarc holds the right to acquire a 100% interest in the Brenda property through annual cash option payments of $400,000 and total exercise payments ranging from $8 million in year one to $12 million in year five, while Canasil retains a 2% net smelter returns royalty.
