Canstar Resources reported assay results from its 2026 drill program at the Mary March Project in central Newfoundland, returning the widest massive sulphide intercept in the project's drilling record. Drill hole MM-26-42 intersected 15.6 metres grading 2.3% copper equivalent starting at 467.4 metres downhole, including 9.75 metres at 3.3% copper equivalent and a 5.0-metre section at 3.9% copper equivalent.

The interval represents a downhole length through fault-bounded massive sulphide hosted within the Fleetway Rhyolite. The hole was terminated prematurely at approximately 576 metres due to unstable ground conditions associated with a fault zone, leaving the lower contact untested. Assays remain pending for a discrete one-metre visually logged massive sulphide interval located 19 metres below the main assayed section.

The campaign marks Canstar's first drilling at Mary March since 2019. All four holes intersected visually logged mineralization typical of a volcanogenic massive sulphide system. Drill hole MM-26-41 encountered copper- and zinc-bearing stringer and disseminated mineralization over approximately 271 metres of altered rhyolite, interpreted as a potential feeder zone. Step-out hole MM-26-43 intersected the upper rhyolite contact approximately 130 metres from MM-26-42, extending the altered unit southwest. Hole MM-26-44 intersected two narrow intervals of visually logged massive sulphide totaling approximately 2.8 metres at the upper contact.

Alongside these results, Canstar consolidated Project ownership after Glencore Canada Corporation's legacy joint-venture interest was converted into a 2% net smelter returns royalty. Earn-in partner VMS Mining Corporation advanced an additional $2.0 million ahead of schedule, bringing total funding to $4.0 million to date, including $3.5 million in 2026.

Assay results for the remaining holes and samples are expected through September. Borehole electromagnetic surveys across all four PVC-cased holes will begin in mid-September to test for off-hole conductors ahead of a planned fall drill campaign targeted for October, subject to drill-rig availability and other operational considerations.
