Caprice Resources Ltd (ASX: CRS) has released a fresh batch of drill results from its Island gold project in Western Australia, signaling an expansion of the known mineralised footprint. Recent drilling has confirmed gold intersections across multiple target areas, including the Vadrians, Baxter, and Golconda zones, alongside the discovery of new mafic-hosted quartz veins. These results suggest that the project’s geology is more complex than initially modeled, extending well beyond the primary BIF-hosted mineralisation.

Highlighting the recent campaign, the company reported a notable intercept of 7.0 metres at 15.4 g/t gold from 268 metres depth at Vadrians. Furthermore, re-sampling of existing core in hole 26IGRC010 has returned 19 metres at 124.7 g/t gold, significantly upgrading previous estimates derived from larger composite samples. Other results include depth extensions at the Baxter zone and successful infill drilling at Golconda.

"These results continue to show that the Island Gold Project is developing into a significant multi-lode gold system. We are consistently intersecting high-grade gold across multiple lodes and host rock types, while resource definition drilling at Vadrians continues to deliver strong confirmation results, including 7m at 15.4 g/t gold for a 108 gold gram-metre intercept. Together, these results reinforce our confidence that the mineralised footprint extends well beyond the original Vadrians discovery and is developing into a much broader gold mineral system."

The company is now pivoting its operational strategy to focus on this broader multi-lode model. By moving beyond a narrow reliance on the main Vadrians trend, the exploration team is looking to define the potential of these newly identified mafic-hosted structures. This shift is intended to test whether the wider system can offer sustained scale across the project area.

Looking ahead, the company is continuing resource definition drilling at the Vadrians deposit to further refine its geological model. Simultaneously, the exploration team is prioritising assay analysis for the newly recognised mafic-hosted quartz veins. These efforts form the core of the current work program, aimed at building a more comprehensive understanding of the project's overall size and commercial potential. In support of its long-term tenure, the company also recently expanded its regional footprint, having successfully staked two additional mineral tenements near the project site earlier this year.
