Carnaby Hits 38m at 1.9% CuEq at Greater Duchess Project
Carnaby Resources has received final drill results from its exploration program at the Greater Duchess Copper Gold Project in Mount Isa, Queensland, highlighted by shallow high-grade intersections at the Miniboom and Trek 1 discoveries.
Drilling across the Miniboom Lode at Mount Hope Central confirmed shallow mineralisation on the edge of the open pit. Reverse circulation hole MHRC297 intersected 20 metres at 2.2% copper equivalent from 33 metres depth, including a 5-metre interval at 5.4% copper equivalent. Hole MHRC302 returned 12 metres at 2.3% copper equivalent from 28 metres, including 5 metres at 4.1% copper equivalent, alongside a shallower intercept corresponding to a backfilled historical open pit. A deeper hole, MHRC305, intersected 42 metres at 0.7% copper equivalent from 180 metres.
At the Trek 1 prospect, infill and extension drilling yielded broad intervals of copper and gold. Geotechnical hole CBGT015 intersected 88.6 metres at 1.2% copper equivalent from 69.5 metres depth, including 35.6 metres at 1.8% copper equivalent. Hole CBRC086 returned 39 metres at 0.7% copper equivalent from 243 metres and an additional 38-metre intercept at 1.9% copper equivalent from 290 metres depth, including a 15-metre section grading 3.2% copper equivalent. This intercept corresponds to an area where the Main and Footwall lodes join into a wider mineralised zone that remains open down plunge.
“The final drill results from a highly successful drill program at the Greater Duchess Project have been received, compiled and released. As previously announced the drilling program resulted in two discoveries, Trek 1 Footwall Lode at Trekelano (Refer ASX releases on 14/4/26, 21/5/26 & 9/6/26) and Miniboom at Mount Hope (Refer ASX releases on 2/6/26, 9/6/26) both of which are expected to add incremental value to the Greater Duchess Project.”

Carnaby Resources holds a 100% interest in the Greater Duchess project, covering more than 1,900 square kilometres of tenure within the Mount Isa inlier. Carnaby plans to update the Mount Hope mineral resource estimate to incorporate the Miniboom extension and intends to re-optimise the Ore Reserve open pit following the mineral resource update.
