Cascadia Minerals Ltd. (CAM) has launched formal collaborative discussions with the Little Salmon Carmacks First Nation to establish a framework for exploration activities within the Nation's Traditional Territory. Following a series of meetings in June between company leadership and the Nation’s council, both parties are now exploring the potential development of a Memorandum of Understanding to guide their ongoing relationship.

As a central component of this engagement, the company has provided a formal pledge that no exploration activity will take place within the Claire Lake Region unless it receives explicit support from the First Nation. This operational boundary is intended to ensure that future project advancement across the region proceeds with direct community alignment and partnership. These discussions remain in the initial stages, but both parties intend to create a structured path forward for the Carmacks copper-gold project, as well as other exploration interests held by the company within the traditional territory.

This engagement runs alongside the company’s broader operational objectives, which include the ongoing execution of a 15,000-metre diamond drill program at the Carmacks project. The company remains focused on advancing this flagship asset while simultaneously pursuing its separate strategic alliance with Agnico Eagle. That partnership is designed to identify and advance additional copper-gold opportunities throughout the Yukon's Stikine Terrane, a highly prospective area that shares geological characteristics with British Columbia's prolific Golden Triangle.

By prioritizing collaborative land-use frameworks, the company aims to ensure that its technical exploration efforts, including current drilling campaigns, benefit from stable community relations. The pending Memorandum of Understanding is expected to define the long-term governance of these interactions, providing the necessary operational clarity to support the company's regional activities as it continues to balance its resource development goals with First Nation interests.
