Cascadia Minerals Completes High-Resolution Geophysical Survey at Carmacks
Cascadia Minerals Ltd. (CAM) has completed a major high-resolution geophysical survey at its 100%-owned Carmacks copper-gold project in central Yukon. The company deployed Quantum Magnetic Gradiometer Technology (QMAGT) across the entire 180-square-kilometre property, utilizing 100-metre line spacing to gather detailed subsurface data. Unlike conventional magnetic surveys that rely on total magnetic intensity, this system measures the full magnetic gradient tensor. This approach is intended to provide superior constraints for three-dimensional geological modelling, helping the team map lithological contacts, structural corridors, and potential hydrothermal alteration zones that often host mineralization within the Minto Copper Belt.

The 2,261 line-kilometre survey marks a significant technical upgrade for the project’s exploration toolkit. Historically, magnetic surveys at the site were limited by broader spacing and less sensitive instrumentation. By contrast, the QMAGT system employs ultra-sensitive Superconducting Quantum Interference Device sensors, which the company expects will significantly reduce ambiguity when identifying geological features concealed beneath surface cover. This data will be integrated with existing geological mapping, historical drill logs, soil geochemistry, and rock sampling to create a more robust subsurface model for the project.
This work fits into a broader, active 2026 exploration season for the explorer. The company’s current operational progress includes the completion of 8,226 metres of drilling across 16 holes, keeping the campaign on track to reach its 15,000-metre target by the end of the season. The integration of the newly acquired geophysical data is expected to be a critical step in prioritizing drill targets for the remainder of this year’s program. Key areas of interest for follow-up include Zone A, where historical work reported high-grade intercepts, and an anomaly situated near Zone 1213.
In addition to refining the deposit-scale model, Cascadia is moving forward with on-the-ground validation. Field teams are currently conducting soil sampling, prospecting, and trenching in target areas, including the vicinity of Zone 1213, where recent surface work has identified mineralization in historical road cuts. These efforts are designed to complement the structural insights provided by the airborne survey. The company plans to continue its systematic evaluation of the property, leveraging both the new high-resolution magnetic dataset and the ongoing diamond drill program to test for expansion of sulphide mineralization.
The project remains a central focus for the company, as it continues to advance the resource-stage deposit through a blend of technical data acquisition and field testing. With the geophysical survey complete, the technical team will now focus on the multi-layered data integration process required to guide the next phase of the 15,000-metre diamond drill program, which is expected to conclude later this season. The combination of refined 3D structural mapping and continued mechanical drilling is intended to better define the geological controls on copper-gold mineralization across the property’s significant land package.
