Cascadia Minerals Ltd. (TSXV: CAM) has released the initial drill results from its 2026 exploration program at the Carmacks copper-gold project in central Yukon. The company has completed 16 holes, totaling 8,226 metres, as part of a planned 15,000-metre campaign. This represents the most extensive drilling effort on the property since 2007 and serves as the first major push to expand the project's sulphide resources.

Drilling has focused on the Zone 147 and Zone 2000S areas, with every hole successfully intersecting mineralization. Hole CD-26-046 at Zone 2000S returned 106.62 metres of 1.09% copper equivalent, including a high-grade sub-interval of 23.15 metres at 1.94% copper equivalent. Additionally, hole CD-26-041 at Zone 147 intersected 98.16 metres of 1.06% copper equivalent, which the company noted was both wider and higher-grade than the current geological model predicted.

The company is currently awaiting assay results for several pending holes, including additional tests at zones 2000S and 147. Following this, the exploration team plans to initiate drilling at Zone 1213 to evaluate its potential for expansion. Cascadia has also maintained a strategic alliance with Agnico Eagle to identify and advance other copper-gold opportunities across the Stikine Terrane.
