Catalyst Metals Limited has intersected thick, high-grade gold mineralization, including 27m at 20.5g/t Au and 57m at 6.9g/t Au, in ongoing infill drilling at the Cinnamon deposit on the Plutonic Gold Belt in Western Australia.

The infill program targeted the high-grade mineralized zone discovered beneath the existing open-pit resource at Cinnamon, which is located 25km from the Plutonic processing plant. Assays confirmed broad zones of continuous grade and mineralization across a 700m strike length, supporting lower-risk, bulk-scale underground stope mining.

During Catalyst’s 2023 acquisition of the Plutonic operations, an intercept of 17m at 2.3 g/t gold immediately below the Cinnamon resource was identified, prompting the recent drilling programs that discovered the underlying high-grade zone.

The Cinnamon deposit is slated to become the sixth ore source in Catalyst’s wider growth strategy to double annual gold production across the belt to approximately 200,000 ounces. Ore from the development will be processed through the existing 2-million-tonne-per-annum carbon-in-leach plant.

The current drill program also tested repeat conglomerate units at depth and above the main high-grade zone, returning encouraging intercepts such as 8m at 4.7g/t Au, 8m at 1.6g/t Au, and 0.5m at 21g/t Au. These results confirm the potential for parallel mineralized zones, and Catalyst plans to conduct follow-up and deeper drilling in the coming months to test these structures.
