Drilling Completed at Hastings Gold Prospect
Cazaly Resources Limited (ASX: CAZ) has finished its maiden aircore drilling campaign at the Hastings gold prospect, located within the company’s Goongarrie project in Western Australia. The program involved 50 holes totaling 3,512m of drilling, providing a systematic, first-pass evaluation of the prospective strike length beneath shallow alluvial cover.
The drilling targeted the Bardoc Tectonic Zone, a structural corridor known for hosting significant gold mineralisation. By focusing on a 2.1km segment of the zone, the exploration aimed to identify strike extensions of a previously reported high-grade intercept of 38m at 3.1g/t gold. While the initial plan was to test a 2.6km section of the trend, the operation was concluded slightly earlier than anticipated due to heavy rainfall across the project area.
Managing Director Tara French noted the operational progress achieved during this campaign:
"The completion of this aircore programme is a significant step forward for the Goongarrie Gold Project. More than 3,500 metres of drilling across 2.1km of the Bardoc Tectonic Zone has given us our maiden systematic first-pass test of the Hastings trend beneath shallow cover, along strike from the historic 38m @ 3.1g/t gold intercept. We now look forward to receiving assay results later this quarter."
— Tara French, Managing Director
The geology across the tested Hastings trend comprises a mixture of sheared basalt, amygdaloidal basalt, sheared dolerite, and black shales. Drill samples have been collected at 4m composite intervals and submitted to a commercial laboratory in Kalgoorlie for analysis. The company now expects to receive these assay results during the September 2026 quarter.

These incoming results will serve as a primary catalyst for the project’s next phase, as the company determines where further drilling is required based on the identification of anomalous gold values. The systematic testing of this specific tectonic zone remains a central focus for the company's regional exploration activities. Future exploration planning and potential follow-up programs at Hastings are currently contingent upon the data returned from these recent samples.
By focusing on the structural continuity of the Bardoc Tectonic Zone, the company is attempting to define the potential for additional bedrock gold mineralisation. The completion of this work represents a technical milestone in moving beyond historical data to establish a more comprehensive understanding of the mineralization potential across the broader project area. As the team waits for the laboratory analysis, the project shifts into a data-review phase where the geological logs and subsequent assay grades will be integrated into the existing structural model. This step is essential for refining the company's understanding of the site's geology and prioritizing high-potential targets for subsequent, more intensive exploration campaigns across the broader Goongarrie tenement package.
