CDN Maverick Capital Corp. will launch a nine-day backpack drilling program targeting lithium-cesium-tantalum pegmatites across its Chabinoche and Nottaway claim groups in Québec’s James Bay region.

The program consists of 68 planned sample sites on a 900-metre reconnaissance grid, with field crews mobilizing August 28, 2026. Maverick designed the work to place physical bedrock samples beneath glacial cover on targets previously defined by regional geology, geophysics and geochemistry.

The backpack drilling recovers fresh bedrock and basal glacial till from each hole. This dual-sample approach gives Maverick both a direct rock test and a dispersal-based vector toward unexposed pegmatite bodies.

Targets follow the interpreted southern extensions of the Frotet-Evans Greenstone Belt. While historic diamond drilling by SOQUEM Inc. at Nottaway intersected pegmatite intervals without visible indicator minerals, whole-rock geochemical ratios fall within ranges typical of the LCT pegmatite family.

The company expanded its regional holdings through multiple staking campaigns, adding claims covering the historic Nottaway showing in June 2025 and acquiring ground at Chabinoche in August 2025.
