Centurion Panning Returns Visible Gold in 85% of Samples at Suriname Limestone Project
Centurion Minerals Ltd. has completed a reconnaissance panning and scouting program at the Limestone Gold Project in Suriname, returning visible gold across more than 85 percent of the collected samples.
The program involved collecting 48 panning samples from the western portion of the 3,548-hectare concession, which was optioned in March 2026. Visible gold was identified in 41 samples, marking an 85.4 per cent positive sample rate. Across the suite, 157 visible gold grains were recorded, with individual samples yielding up to 18 grains. The observed gold is predominantly fine-grained and sub-angular, pointing to potential bedrock sources within the sampled drainage basins.
Field observations indicate the area is primarily underlain by basaltic volcanic rocks and intrusive granodiorite. Second-growth vegetation observed in several drainages also revealed historic small-scale mining activity that is unrecorded on satellite imagery.
Based on these results, Centurion has outlined three priority exploration areas. The team has commenced a shallow Ridgecrest auger program across Targets 1 and 2 to test soils and near-surface regolith along topographic highs separating anomalous drainages. Target 3 is undergoing mapping and sampling of fluvial terrace sediments, alongside an evaluation of spoil piles from small-scale mining pits that returned pyritic silicified rock. Subsequent exploration across the priority targets will include trenching and drilling.

The Limestone project is situated less than 35 kilometres west of Zijin Mining's Rosebel Gold Mine and 17 kilometres west of its Saramacca Mine in Suriname.
