Centurion Secures Option To Acquire 80% Interest In Brothers Gold Project In Suriname
Centurion Minerals Ltd. has executed a letter of intent to enter into an option agreement to acquire an 80% interest in the 9,600-hectare Brothers Gold Project in eastern Suriname. Under terms with Mega Bond International Investments Limited, Centurion will secure the interest through escalating cash payments totalling US$6,750,000 over five years, US$2,000,000 in common shares over four years, and US$18,000,000 in project expenditures across five years.
The concession owners will retain a 2.0% net smelter return royalty, which Centurion can purchase for US$5,000,000. Finalisation remains subject to due diligence, a definitive agreement, and TSX Venture Exchange acceptance. Trading in the company's shares is halted and will resume upon submitting required filing documents for a fundamental acquisition within 30 to 45 days.
The Brothers property is located 15 kilometres from the former Newmont Esperance deposit and 40 kilometres south of Newmont's Merian Mine. Historical exploration includes about 3,000 metres of diamond drilling targeting a mineralised shear zone, with past intercepts returning highlights such as 10 metres at 1.8 g/t gold, 6 metres at 4.6 g/t gold, 8 metres at 2.4 g/t gold, and 1 metre at 20.5 g/t gold.
The property encompasses three geological domains analogous to productive settings on the Guiana Shield: a granitic domain, a granite-metavolcanic contact zone, and a metavolcanic-sedimentary domain. While historical small-scale mining and drilling focused on the granitic domain, the two additional domains remain largely underexplored. Centurion plans to conduct additional drilling, soil sampling, gradient-array induced polarization surveys, and trenching.

This acquisition follows Centurion’s option agreement for the Limestone gold project in Suriname in March 2026. Regional activity across the wider district includes reported drill results from the Sela Creek project by Miata Metals Corp. in July 2026, which intersected 30.0 metres at 4.06 g/t gold.
"The historical work completed at Brothers provides a solid foundation for the potential discovery and delineation of new gold resources. I have been involved with the Project since its early stages and believe it ranks among the more prospective junior-held packages in the Guiana Shield greenstone belt. We look forward to working with the experienced concession holders to systematically advance the Project."
