Century Lithium Corp. has submitted its formal Mine Plan of Operations and Nevada Reclamation Permit Application for the 100%-owned Angel Island lithium project in Esmeralda County, Nevada, to the U.S. Bureau of Land Management.

Delivered on September 3, 2026, to the BLM’s Battle Mountain District Tonopah Field Office, the formal filing follows the company's submission of a draft plan in May 2026. The Plan of Operations serves as the proposed action and baseline document upon which the BLM will conduct its environmental analyses under the National Environmental Policy Act, following BLM surface management and Nevada reclamation regulations.

The 5,379-acre project in Clayton Valley is designed around a shallow surface mine in lithium-bearing claystones, with operations structured across six pit phases utilizing ripping and hauling without drilling or blasting. Development is planned in two stages, starting at approximately 8,300 tons per day for the first four years before increasing to up to 16,500 tons per day in years five through 40.

The operation incorporates the company's proprietary chlor-alkali processing circuit, which uses salt-based reagents to produce hydrochloric acid and sodium hydroxide alongside battery-grade lithium carbonate, yielding marketable surplus sodium hydroxide. These parameters align with the company's updated feasibility study, which outlines a 40-year mine life with an average annual output of 26,500 tonnes of lithium carbonate.

Following the submission, the BLM will conduct a 30-day completeness review, with Century Lithium expecting completion in the fourth quarter of 2026. Angel Island holds Transparency Project status under the FAST-41 federal program, which tracks milestones on the Permitting Dashboard with an estimated environmental review and permitting completion date of February 4, 2028. Subsequent anticipated milestones include publication of a Notice of Intent in the Federal Register to initiate public scoping in the second quarter of 2027, leading toward a final Record of Decision.
