Chariot Defense has formed a new Board of Advisors featuring former senior military officers, civilian defense officials, and a venture capital veteran to support the scaling of manufacturing, supply chains, and deployment pathways for its Amphora power distribution systems.

The initial appointees include retired U.S. Army General James E. “Jim” Rainey, former Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment Ellen Lord, retired U.S. Army Brigadier General Samuel “Luke” Peterson, and One Defense founder and venture investor Stephen Rodriguez.

The advisory board appointments follow the company's $34 million Series A funding round and a $7.4 million contract with the Pentagon's Department of War Innovation Unit. Under that agreement, Chariot Defense is scheduled to start delivering Amphora systems to U.S. Army brigades this fall.

The company fields the modular voltage platforms to operational military units to provide low-signature power for tactical equipment including radios, drones, and sensors, as retired U.S. Army General James E. “Jim” Rainey noted in announcing the board's formation:
