China Gold International Resources Secures Slope Remediation Approval to Resume CSH Mine Operations

China Gold International Resources Corp. Ltd. has transitioned from the temporary open-pit suspension at its Chang Shan Hao Gold Mine to active remediation, following regulatory approval of slope remediation plans carrying total estimated capital expenditures of RMB98.376 million.

Open-pit mining at the CSH Mine was suspended following a localized slope instability event on May 22, 2026. While open-pit extraction halted, the processing plant maintained operations by drawing on existing low-grade ore stockpiles.

The newly approved framework splits expenditure across two concurrent initiatives: an open-pit slope failure geohazard remediation program budgeted at RMB48.463 million with an expected duration of approximately 183 days, and an open-pit slope geohazard prevention program estimated at RMB49.913 million over an anticipated 240-day schedule.

Following the selection and mobilization of contractors, China Gold International Resources expects to complete key interim works within approximately one month. These preparatory measures include constructing switchback access roads and installing passive rockfall protection barriers at the lower section of the affected slope.

The company anticipates that principal slope hazards will be mitigated by the end of September 2026, satisfying the necessary safety conditions for normal open-pit mining operations to resume progressively. Remaining stabilization and remediation work will continue thereafter under approved plans, and management does not currently expect the incident to have a material impact on the CSH Mine's annual production guidance.
