Cooper Metals Limited has launched a detailed sample-level assay review across 151 historical drillholes at the Pyramid Gold Project in North Queensland to support three-dimensional geological modelling and inaugural drill planning.

The review covers 10,975 assayed samples from drilling between 1987 and 2023 across the Pyramid property, which spans roughly 150 square kilometres in the Drummond Basin, approximately 180 kilometres south of Townsville. Cooper acquired a 100% interest in the project in July 2026.

Primary gold values for 115 of the holes now trace directly to original laboratory certificates, alongside recovered 1987 and 1988 silver assays. The work also incorporates a 53-analyte multi-element geochemical dataset covering epithermal pathfinder and alteration elements such as arsenic, antimony, bismuth, mercury, molybdenum, sulphur and potassium.

Historical repeat and duplicate assay data captured during the review align with the coarse gold character identified at the Gettysberg prospect, providing parameters to govern sample sizing and assay methods for the upcoming program.

“This work is about drill targeting. Pulling the assay data back to its original laboratory records, and bringing the multi element geochemistry alongside it, gives us the basis to build a three-dimensional model of the Gettysberg system and to design a drill program against it. That is the work in front of us, and we look forward to updating the market as it progresses.”

Database validation is continuing alongside interpretation of the multi-element and quality control datasets. Cooper will report the results upon completion ahead of its inaugural drilling program.
