Copper Giant Resources Corp. has intersected 771 metres of continuous copper-molybdenum mineralization grading 0.54% copper equivalent at its flagship Mocoa project in Colombia, while a deeper hole below historic drilling returned better grades at depth than previous programs.

Infill daughter hole MD-070 returned 771 metres grading 0.54% CuEq from 211 metres downhole, including a higher-grade core of 102 metres grading 0.87% CuEq starting from 396 metres. The hole was drilled as a directional daughter from the MD-064 platform and tested the resource model at tighter spacing ahead of an upcoming study.

Separately, directional daughter hole MD-068 was drilled beneath vertical holes completed decades ago by Ingeominas in the southeast of the deposit. MD-068 returned a near-surface interval of 157 metres grading 0.69% CuEq from 145 metres and a deeper zone of 154 metres grading 0.54% CuEq from 526 metres.

Alteration and veining in MD-068 intensified downhole toward high-temperature assemblages characteristic of a porphyry core. The deeper interval lies outside the current resource footprint and is not included in the existing mineral resource estimate.

“MD-068 is the hole I would look at twice. It sits below the vertical holes Ingeominas drilled decades ago, and it carries better grade at depth than the drilling above it. Those holes stopped where the technology of the day stopped, not where the system stopped. MD-070 does the other half of the job: it came in slightly above the grade model, which tells us the model behind the upcoming PEA is behaving.”

Copper Giant controls more than 128,300 hectares of district-scale tenure across the Jurassic porphyry belt in the Putumayo department. Mocoa’s current mineral resource estimate comprises Inferred resources of 12.7 billion pounds of copper-equivalent at an average grade of 0.51% CuEq within 1,120 million tonnes.

The company remains on track to deliver a Preliminary Economic Assessment for the Mocoa project in the fourth quarter of 2026. Meanwhile, drilling continues at the La Estrella target, where 2,170 metres have been completed to date with assay results still pending.
