Corazon Starts Maiden Drilling at Feather Cap Gold Project
Corazon Mining Limited has commenced its maiden reverse circulation drilling program at the Wembley gold prospect, targeting shallow, high-grade mineralisation within the Feather Cap project in Western Australia.
The program involves 20 holes totalling approximately 2,000 metres designed to test the continuity and geometry of the Wembley system. Holes will step out up to 250 metres along strike and beneath historic workings to establish whether previous high-grade intercepts form part of a larger continuous mineralised structure. The campaign will also test an interpreted regional structural corridor that has seen limited systematic drilling.
“The commencement of drilling at Wembley is an important milestone for Corazon and the Feather Cap Gold Project. Our technical review has identified a compelling combination of shallow, high-grade historical gold results and a broader structural setting that remains significantly under-tested. We are not drilling simply to confirm what is already known. We are drilling to find out how big this is, and whether those high-grade hits are isolated pods or the surface expression of a much larger, structurally controlled system.”
— Simon Coyle, Managing Director
Drilling is scheduled for completion by the end of August 2026, with first assay results anticipated in October. Following the program, Corazon plans to update the Exploration Target at Wembley to support a potential maiden Mineral Resource Estimate, alongside advancing exploration targeting across broader Feather Cap prospects including Trudgeon Well and Durack East.
