Core Lithium Secures Final Finniss Stockpile Sale With Glencore

Core Lithium Ltd has entered into a binding marketing agreement with Glencore International AG to sell the remaining approximately 25,000 tonnes of lithium direct shipping ore fines from the Finniss Lithium Operation.
The transaction completes the monetisation of all existing stockpiles at the Northern Territory project. The shipment is scheduled for the current quarter through the Darwin Port, with net proceeds expected to be received in the December quarter.
Under the terms of the agreement, the material carries a base price of approximately US$285 per tonne, equivalent to about A$400 per tonne CIF, based on indicative lithium oxide content. The pricing marks an increase from the second fines sale base price of approximately US$270 per tonne, or about A$375 per tonne CIF, which Core announced in June 2026. Final realised proceeds remain subject to customary adjustments for grade, moisture, impurities, and transport differentials.
The final stockpile transaction lifts total incremental revenue generated from lithium sales across calendar year 2026 to approximately A$38.5 million, up from the approximately A$28.5 million reported following the June transaction.
“Completing sales of our stockpiled material has been a deliberate strategy to generate additional cash and further enhance financial flexibility in ramping up operations at Finniss. We have now generated incremental revenue of ~A$38.5 million from total lithium sales in calendar year 2026.”
“These transactions demonstrate the strong relationship Core has established with Glencore. Core has successfully reactivated the Finniss logistics chain and is well-positioned for our first spodumene concentrate shipment in the December quarter.”
— Paul Brown, Managing Director
The monetisation follows the Core Lithium board's approval of a Final Investment Decision in March 2026 to restart the Finniss operation, backed by a funding package comprising US$120 million in strategic funding alongside an equity raise. The company is advancing toward its first spodumene concentrate shipment from the project, which remains on track for the December quarter of 2026.
