Cosmo Metals Hits 15.1m at 0.35g/t Gold at Kanowna Gold Project's Adder Prospect
Cosmo Metals has intersected broad mineralised zones at the Adder prospect within its Kanowna Gold Project in Western Australia, returning 15.1 metres at 0.35g/t gold from 189.9 metres and 12 metres at 0.35g/t gold from 209 metres in hole ADRD003.
The southernmost diamond tail drilled at Adder encountered a wider black shale-hosted interval of 31.1 metres at 0.33g/t gold starting from 189.9 metres down hole. The results confirm the continuity of mineralisation approximately 100 metres down dip from previous drilling at the prospect by Cosmo Metals in 2024.
The Kanowna Gold Project covers an 8-kilometre strike length of the Kanowna Shear Zone and is located adjacent to Northern Star Resources' Kanowna Belle gold mine. The southeastern section of the shear within the project remains sparsely tested below 100 metres vertical.
Drilling across the recent campaign consisted of 875 metres of reverse circulation drilling across six holes and 590 metres of diamond drilling at Laguna Verde, Don Alvaro, and Adder. Cosmo Metals is reviewing the results from the campaign to define follow-up drill targets across the tenement package.
“The drilling at the southern end of the Adder prospect adjacent to Kanowna Shear has identified a large mineralised system, confirming the concept that the Kanowna Shear and associated splays are conduits for gold mineralised fluids. Having confirmed the scale potential of the mineralised system, the next steps are to hone in on the structural and lithological traps within this sparsely tested section of the shear with scope to host higher grade mineralisation.”

Activity is also advancing at the company's Bingara Gold, Antimony and Copper Project in New South Wales. Detailed soil geochemistry and geological mapping across the Plunkett and Cassidy prospect at Antimony Gully are scheduled to commence in the coming weeks to support orogenic gold-antimony target definition. Cosmo Metals is additionally progressing regulatory approvals and stakeholder engagement for the first-ever drilling at the Mona Copper, Gold and Silver prospect, where historic mullock dumps have returned up to 4.93% copper, 11.65g/t gold and 204g/t ag.
