Coyote Copper Secures Drill Permits And Accelerates Warrants
Coyote Copper Mines Inc. has received full approval for Phase 1 drill permits at its wholly owned Copper Springs Project in Arizona following the completion of its Plan of Operations.
The approval authorizes 37 drill locations, each capable of hosting multiple holes, with a three-year window to complete drilling and reclamation activities. The campaign will test shallow oxide and deeper sulphide targets identified through prior exploration, mapping and geophysical surveys.
The company is expanding its land position by staking 111 new claims of 20.66 acres each, increasing the project footprint from 63.33 square kilometres to 72.36 square kilometres. Coyote Copper also closed an oversubscribed private placement financing in June 2026 raising gross proceeds of $8,588,370.75 to fund exploration and general corporate purposes at the site.
Exploration work at Copper Springs previously identified a mineralized zone containing the Maher Breccia, with mapping indicating a strike length exceeding 4 kilometres and a width of more than 600 metres. The property includes over 100 historical drill holes and a historical mineral resource estimate representing approximately 10% of the Historic Supergene Oxide Blanket footprint defined during the 1960s.
Phase 1 of a 2D Induced Polarization survey covering 17 line-kilometres is underway and expected to be completed by mid-September 2026.

“Receiving our Phase 1 drill permits allows us to begin testing what we believe is a very large porphyry copper system. The scale of the geophysical anomalies, the strength of copper geochemistry, and the structural and intrusive architecture we have mapped all point to a significant mineralized environment.”
— Dan Weir, CEO of Coyote Copper Mines Inc.
In connection with the permit approval, the board of directors has approved an acceleration notice for three specific tranches of warrants. Holders have until October 15, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. Toronto time to exercise their warrants, or the instruments will expire.
The acceleration applies to 5,874,870 warrants exercisable at $0.15, 10,574,274 warrants exercisable at $0.20, and 1,052,152 finder's warrants exercisable at $0.14. If all affected warrants are exercised before the October deadline, the company will receive gross proceeds of $3,143,386.58.
