Critica Limited has produced a second high-grade Mixed Rare Earth Carbonate from the Jupiter Rare Earth Project in Western Australia, achieving a grade of approximately 58% Total Rare Earth Oxide.

The latest carbonate was produced by Australian Minmet Metallurgical Laboratories and closely replicates the 58% TREO grade achieved in the initial Mixed Rare Earth Carbonate produced by the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation and announced in February 2026. The initial ANSTO-produced material achieved 57.8% TREO with 14.1% Magnet Rare Earth Oxide and 2.41% Heavy Rare Earth Oxide, while the latest AMML-produced material achieved a comparable TREO grade of 57.9% alongside increased MagREO of 15.0% and HREO of 3.66%.

The testwork also delivered a total recovery of approximately 87%, including approximately 91% recovery through the carbonate production stage. The results confirm higher concentrations of key magnet rare earths, including neodymium, dysprosium, and terbium.

The technical results add to a series of previously reported metallurgical advancements across the processing flowsheet, including an approximate 81% magnet rare earth recovery during pilot beneficiation optimisation, a 14× upgrade to a 3% TREO intermediate concentrate with 95% mass rejection, and an approximate 30% reduction in sulphuric acid consumption.

Critica initiated the scoping study phase for the Jupiter project in January 2026 with engineering group Sedgman, targeting completion in the third quarter of 2026. The company is also advancing parallel scoping studies for the Mt Lindsay project, with completion similarly targeted for the third quarter of 2026.
