Cygnus Metals Intersects 20.3m at 4.2g/t AuEq in First Drilling at Copper Rand

Cygnus Metals Limited has intersected 20.3 metres at 4.2g/t AuEq from 399.1 metres, including 3.4 metres at 14.2g/t AuEq, in initial step-out drilling at the Copper Rand prospect within the Chibougamau Copper-Gold Project in Quebec.
The initial drilling program at Copper Rand totalled five holes across 3,830 metres, targeting shallow, along-strike extensions to the historic mine and stepping out 200 metres along the prospective structure. Additional assay results from this initial program included 5.1 metres at 5.3g/t AuEq from 328.7 metres in hole CR-26-04. The Copper Rand deposit remains open in multiple directions.
Meanwhile, the maiden drill program at the Gwillim prospect successfully intersected shallow gold mineralisation across all nine holes drilled for a total of 2,708 metres. Highlights from Gwillim include 13.5 metres at 8.0g/t Au from 19.5 metres in hole GWL-26-05, and 3.1 metres at 20.8g/t Au from 212.7 metres in hole GWL-26-01, which included a 0.4-metre interval grading 108.0g/t Au. Further intercepts included 9.4 metres at 4.5g/t Au from 154.6 metres and 8.6 metres at 3.5g/t Au from 301.0 metres.
Cygnus is advancing the Chibougamau Copper-Gold Project with the objective of developing a hub-and-spoke operation model supported by a centralised processing facility. The Gwillim prospect is held via a 50:50 joint venture with Alamos Gold, which is co-funding the maiden drill program.
Following the latest results, Cygnus has moved its drill rig from Corner Bay back to Gwillim for a short program before redeploying the rig to Copper Rand. The company plans to use the recent drilling data alongside historic records to establish initial Inferred Mineral Resources for both the Gwillim and Copper Rand prospects.
