Dalaroo Defines Drill Targets with Watheroo IP Survey
Dalaroo Metals Ltd has completed a ground Dipole-Dipole Induced Polarisation survey across three lines at the 100%-owned Watheroo Project in Western Australia, successfully outlining priority drill targets associated with an interpreted buried mafic-ultramafic intrusive system.
The survey comprised approximately 6,300 metres across three east-west lines, using 83 stations at a nominal 100-metre spacing with lines positioned roughly 300 metres apart. Results returned observed chargeability values of up to 19.4 mV/V, while a 2D inversion of Line 6641700N yielded a modelled response reaching approximately 18 mV/V. Background values in the survey data reached 12.0 mV/V.
The modelled chargeability and resistivity features coincide with a distinct magnetic break and a broad multi-element soil geochemical halo containing copper, nickel, sulphur and platinum group elements. Dalaroo previously completed systematic soil sampling at the site, expanding the copper-nickel soil geochemical footprint by approximately 2 square kilometres.
Steeply dipping, high-contrast resistivity boundaries persist across all three survey lines, marking a coherent bedrock feature that follows the linear geochemical trend. The survey contractor reported that conductive soils in several places reduced signal amplitudes at depth, resulting in noisier data and diminished repeatability of the decay curves. The company noted that induced polarisation responses are not diagnostic of sulphide mineralisation and may also stem from graphite, clay-rich lithologies, weathering products or saline groundwater, necessitating drill testing to determine their geological source.

Dalaroo plans to test the priority targets at depth through an upcoming reverse circulation drilling program.
