Dalaroo Metals Starts Maiden Drill Campaign at Bondoukou Gold Project
Dalaroo Metals Limited has commenced its maiden reverse circulation drilling campaign at the Bondoukou Gold Project in Côte d’Ivoire, marking the first systematic subsurface test of the asset.
The campaign involves an expanded ~12,000-metre program designed to evaluate the Wilfred, Mag, and Ali priority targets. Earlier plans had outlined a 10,000-metre Phase 1 program focused exclusively on the Wilfred target before expanding to cover the three distinct priority areas along an approximate 7-kilometre gold-anomalous corridor. Prior to drilling, Dalaroo completed a systematic soil geochemistry program across the project that collected over 4,300 samples to define the corridor.
The opening phase comprises 24 holes totaling about 4,200 metres, planned to depths between 150 metres and 250 metres across eleven scheduled fence areas. This initial sequence uses opposing drill directions, known as a scissor-drilling strategy, to test alternative structural orientations and establish the orientation and geometry of any mineralisation intersected. A subsequent follow-up program of approximately 7,800 metres remains subject to geological observations and results obtained from these initial orientation holes.
As the project has not been previously drill-tested, the orientation, dip, geometry, continuity, and true width of any mineralised structures remain unknown. The campaign is being managed as a flexible, geology-led effort, allowing collars and depths to be adjusted based on drilling observations.
“We are incredibly excited to have commenced Dalaroo's maiden RC drilling campaign at Bondoukou. This 12,000-metre program represents the first systematic drill test beneath the extensive surface gold anomalism identified across the Mag, Wilfred and Ali targets.”
— John Morgan, Chief Executive Officer
The drilling campaign is supported by a A$2.5 million placement completed in August 2026, which included approximately A$1 million in participation from Dalaroo’s board, senior management, and in-country advisers.
Field operations for the initial orientation phase are expected to be completed within two to four weeks, with assay results anticipated in early Q4 2026.
