Dark Star Closes $337,500 Private Placement for Canadian Exploration
Dark Star Minerals has closed its non-brokered private placement, raising gross proceeds of $337,500 to fund exploration expenses across its Canadian portfolio.
The financing issued 4,500,000 flow-through units at a price of $0.075 per unit. Each unit consists of one critical flow-through common share and one share purchase warrant, entitling the holder to buy an additional common share at $0.10 for three years from closing. The company paid no finder's fees for the offering, and all securities are subject to a statutory hold period expiring four months and one day post-closing.
Gross proceeds will be used for Canadian exploration expenses and flow-through critical mineral mining expenditures, which Dark Star will renounce to purchasers with an effective date no later than December 31, 2026.
Dark Star focuses on uranium and critical minerals, holding an option to acquire a 100% interest in the 28,575-hectare Ghost Lake claims in the Central Mineral Belt of Newfoundland and Labrador, alongside the 515-hectare Bleasdell Project in Northern Saskatchewan.
Against this backdrop, the spot price for uranium stood at US$86.90 per pound over the 30-day period ending August 12, 2026, representing an increase of 1.34% from the prior price of US$85.75 per pound.
