Dart Mining Hits 3.96% Tin at Walwa Project

Dart Mining NL has returned a high-grade rock chip sample assaying 3.96% tin, 165 parts per million tantalum and 197 parts per million niobium from the historic Walwa tin project in Northeast Victoria.

The standout result came from sample WWP002, an in-situ grab sample of cassiterite-bearing pegmatite collected from the south-west wall of the historic Walwa open pit during a June 2026 site visit. Three additional rock chip samples from the project area also returned elevated tin grades, including 1.09% Sn from a greisenous pegmatite boulder on the pit floor, 0.61% Sn from float outside the northern pit wall, and 0.40% Sn from an outcrop grab sample at the Mt Alwa South prospect 700 metres to the south.

All four samples showed strong enrichment in lithium, rubidium and caesium, alongside tantalum and niobium. The multielement profile points to a highly fractionated, rare-metal pegmatite system representing late-stage phases of a buried granite cupola. Tungsten values remained low across the sampling program, confirming the project's classification as a tin-tantalum system rather than a tin-tungsten prospect.

Dart Mining holds 100% owned granted tenements across 499 square kilometres at Walwa, supported by a compiled digital database of 150 historic drill holes totaling 7,672 metres.

Maiden diamond drilling at the project is scheduled to commence in October 2026 across nine proposed drill sites, designed to test deeper exploration targets beneath the historic workings.
