DPM Metals Hits Commercial Production at Vareš With 72% Average Plant Throughput

DPM Metals achieved commercial production at its Vareš silver-gold mine in Bosnia and Herzegovina on August 10, 2026, after exceeding 60% of design throughput capacity and recoveries over a 30 consecutive day period.
During the qualification window, daily plant throughput averaged 72% of design capacity. Driven by this strong operational performance and first-half results, DPM expects Vareš production for 2026 to land at the higher end of its guidance range of 105,000 to 130,000 gold equivalent ounces.
“Achieving this milestone for Vareš ahead of schedule is a testament to DPM’s track record of building, expanding and optimizing mining operations, as well as our commitment to unlocking value by investing in our people and our assets,” said David Rae, President and Chief Executive Officer of DPM Metals.
“From day one, we focused on embedding DPM’s health and safety standards, investing in training and leadership development of the local team and transferring our proven operating practices, which has laid the foundation for Vareš to deliver near-term production growth for DPM and long-term value for our shareholders.”
Following its acquisition via the takeover of Adriatic Metals plc completed on September 3, 2025, DPM has advanced the asset toward its full production run-rate of 850,000 tonnes per annum, which remains on track to be achieved by year-end 2026.
