Dundas Minerals Expands Kalgoorlie Gold Tenure With Nine-Licence Consolidation
Dundas Minerals has consolidated its holdings across the Bardoc gold trend in Western Australia by acquiring nine prospecting licences 40 to 50 kilometres north of Kalgoorlie. The expanded package links existing district projects into a continuous position from Rockland through Capricorn and Aquarius to Gemini in the north.
The transaction combines two separate acquisition packages, increasing the total tenement holding from an initial six-licence group to nine. Three granted licences at the Gemini Project were purchased outright from a private vendor for $70,000 in cash, funded from existing reserves. The remaining six Windanya prospecting licences were secured under the Black Mountain option agreement originally announced by the company on 30 August 2023, with tenement transfers registered in August 2026.
Historical drilling across the newly acquired Gemini ground returned high-grade gold intercepts, including two metres at 26.68 grams per tonne gold from 35 metres in hole WAC20019, alongside two metres at 8.66 grams per tonne gold from 38 metres in hole GMRC21001. Dundas funded the latest exploration phase following a $2.5 million share placement completed in February 2026 to support its Western Australian gold portfolio.
“This acquisition is a major step forward for Dundas. These nine licences stitch our holdings into a single, continuous position along a prolifically mineralised Eastern Goldfields' structure, running from Rockland through Capricorn and Aquarius to Gemini in the north. Gemini brings historical high-grade gold results - 2m at 26.68 g/t Au - that warrant follow- up down the interpreted southerly plunge, located between mineralisation that remains open and ground that has simply never seen a drill bit."
"With the Capricorn Mining Lease granted, Programmes of Work approved and a drilling contractor engaged, we now hold the targets, the tenure and the opportunity. It is hard to imagine a better set-up for the drilling ahead.”
— Jonathan Downes, Managing Director
Programs of Work have been approved and a drilling contractor is engaged to advance the targets, with drilling at the Capricorn gold project scheduled to commence in late September 2026.
