Eagle Plains Hits 12,473 CPS Uranium Peak at Don Lake
Eagle Plains Resources intersected multiple intervals of anomalous radioactivity during drilling at the Don Lake project in northern Saskatchewan, led by a peak downhole intercept of 0.6 metres averaging 12,473 counts per second in hole DN26009.

The diamond drilling program tested structural targets across the B Zone and C Zone areas of the property. Hole DN26009 returned a 2.2-metre interval averaging 4,517 counts per second from a downhole depth of 25.83 metres, including the higher-grade 0.6-metre section. Hole DN26008 intersected 0.7 metres averaging 10,403 counts per second from 22.03 metres, alongside a 1.6-metre section averaging 3,518 counts per second.
Further north in the B Zone, hole DN26006 returned a 5.5-metre interval averaging 2,656 counts per second from 13.5 metres, while hole DN26005 intersected 1.3 metres averaging 2,898 counts per second from 68.03 metres. Holes DN26004 and DN26007 did not return significant anomalous radioactivity. The radioactive intervals are generally associated with strongly altered gabbroic gneiss exhibiting silica-feldspar, hematite, and chlorite modification.
The completed campaign spanned 1,106 metres across 10 diamond drill holes. The property is held under an option agreement with Xcite Uranium, which can earn an 80% interest by meeting funding and share issuance commitments.
Geochemical assays for the drill core samples are currently pending. Measurements of total gamma radiation on drill core provide an initial indication of uranium content but may not correlate directly with final laboratory assays.
Earlier this year, Eagle Plains expanded the contiguous Don Lake and Smitty project area to 4,055 hectares after staking seven additional dispositions in the Uranium City area.
