Eastport Identifies Multi-Kilometre Nickel-Copper Soil Anomalies at Selebi-East Project

Eastport Critical Metals Corp. has reported initial soil geochemistry results from its Phase II exploration program at the Selebi-East project in northeast Botswana, identifying multi-kilometre nickel-copper anomalies associated with mapped amphibolite host rocks.

The project is situated on the Selebi-Phikwe Belt, approximately seven kilometres east of NexMetals Mining Corp.'s Selebi Mine project, where recent drilling intersected an 11.15-metre interval of massive sulphide grading 7.65% copper equivalent. The Selebi-East project comprises five prospecting licences, with the Phase II soil sampling program covering areas PL001, PL003, and PL2183.

Results from prospecting licence area PL003 demonstrate a strong correlation between mapped amphibolites and nickel and copper grades, echoing findings from earlier surveys completed by Eastport on licences PL002 and PL004. Results for PL2183 remain pending, while limited nickel-copper anomalies on PL001 are interpreted as potentially non-in-situ material transported by streams. Meanwhile, initial electromagnetic survey test lines completed over grid areas PL002 and PL004 proved inconclusive due to limited depth penetration, prompting the company to prepare for a deeper-seeking time-domain electromagnetic survey on the same lines.

Following the receipt of remaining soil sample results and the completion of the geophysical program, Eastport plans to select final drill collar locations to test subsurface targets.
