Eastport Critical Metals has intersected thick copper-rich mineralisation at its flagship Matsitama project in Botswana, with step-out drilling at Nak-East returning up to 122.4 metres of mineralisation.

The company completed five diamond drill holes as part of its Phase 1 exploration program. At Nak-East, located five kilometres east of the Nak-Main deposit, drill hole NEDD26-003 intersected 122.4 metres at 1,118 ppm copper from 85.0 metres downhole, including a higher-grade interval of 12.0 metres at 3,501 ppm.

Two holes drilled at Nak-West, three kilometres west of Nak-Main, also encountered mineralisation. These results suggest a potential mineralised strike length of up to 10 kilometres across the Nakalakwana area, subject to further infill drilling. The copper is associated with folded and sheared geological structures, a model that Eastport is applying to its broader project area.

“The most exciting part of these excellent drilling results is the clear link between the copper mineralisation and key geological structures. This provides greater confidence in our geological model and enhances our ability to target future drilling across the broader project area.”

Eastport maintains a multi-asset strategy in Botswana, where it is also advancing the Selebi East, Semarule, Foley, and Keng projects alongside its flagship copper asset.

The company will release assay results for three additional drill holes located at the Nak-Main deposit as they are received.
