Edison Lithium Clears Technical Report Hurdle For Quebec Gold Properties
The TSX Venture Exchange has confirmed that its geologist considers the technical report complete for Edison Lithium Corp.’s proposed acquisition of the Joutel North-West and Gagné properties in Quebec.
Under an option agreement effective February 27, 2026, with Globex Mining Enterprises Inc., Edison Lithium can earn a 100% interest in the gold and copper assets in exchange for cash, shares, and exploration commitments. The properties remain subject to a 3% gross metal royalty held by Globex, with Edison holding a right of first refusal to purchase all or part of the royalty.

The submission of the final signed report marks a shift from Edison Lithium’s June 30 update, when the National Instrument 43-101 technical document was still in progress and unfinalized. During a site visit on June 1, 2026, the technical team also located historical drill core on the ground.
“I want to congratulate our entire technical and corporate team for reaching this important milestone,” said A. Paul Gill, CEO of Edison Lithium Corp. “Our team has worked diligently and professionally throughout this process, and their commitment has positioned us well for the next phase of advancing the Joutel North-West and Gagné properties. We look forward to continuing to build momentum as we move toward final acceptance of the Transaction and the next steps in advancing these promising projects.” — A. Paul Gill, CEO of Edison Lithium Corp.
To complete the earn-in by May 1, 2027, the company must pay $200,000 in cash, issue $300,000 in shares, and complete $500,000 in exploration expenditures. The proposed transaction still requires final acceptance from the exchange before it can proceed to the next phase of work.
