Emerita Appoints Oscar Cabrera and Peter McRae to Board

Emerita Resources Corp. has appointed Oscar Cabrera and Peter McRae to its board of directors, effective September 16, 2026, while accepting the resignations of directors Catherine Stretch and Marilia Bento.
The departures follow the August 25, 2026, annual meeting, where withheld votes exceeded votes in favour for David Patterson, Marilia Bento, and Catherine Stretch, triggering the company's Majority Voting Policy. At the previous annual meeting on June 19, 2025, all nominees secured approval from over 93% of cast votes.
Cabrera brings over 25 years of experience as an equity analyst covering metals and mining for institutions including Goldman Sachs, Merrill Lynch Canada, and CIBC World Markets, and chairs DynaResource Inc. McRae brings over 15 years of corporate, commercial, and legal experience, having served as vice president and general counsel of U.S. Silver and Gold.
Executive Chairman Joseph Belan welcomed the appointments.
“We are delighted to welcome Oscar and Peter to the Board. They each bring relevant and diverse experience that will be critical to supporting Emerita in advancing and achieving its strategic priorities.”
— Joseph Belan, Executive Chairman
The board changes occur as Emerita continues technical work on its Iberian Belt West project in Spain, with results of the ongoing prefeasibility study expected in the third quarter of 2026.
